Compute services: Vmware vSphere virtualised environment OpenStack Compute on-demand cloud environment Microsoft Hyper-V capability

Storage services: Tiered block and file-level storage Long-term data archiving capability

Web portal access

Infrastructure scale (planned)

Compute infrastructure: Blade-based X64 hardware Virtual instances from 1 GB – 32 GB memory, 1-4 vCPUs

Storage services: > 200 TB initially, scalable to multi-PB Scalable multi-tier archiving service

Network connectivity 10 Gbit/s dual-circuit connectivity onto SuperJANET

Hosted at Eduserv’s Swindon Datacentre Owned and operated by Eduserv Capacity and power for >600 racks of infrastructure PUE efficiency design of <1.4 JANET backbone connectivity

Operated by Eduserv 24 x 7 systems monitoring 99.9% SLA
