WHAT ARE THE MAIN FACTORS THAT AFFECT CLIMATE? 1. Distance from the sea: regions that are close to the sea have milder temperatures than inland regions.
2. Altitude: the regions that are higher than others, have lower temperatures and more precipitations.
3. Distance from the Equator: regions closer to the Equator have warmer climates.

OCEANIC CLIMATE
•Especially areas near the Atlantic Ocean •Temperatures are mild in summer and low in Winter.•Precipitation is abundant and regular.•Vegetation: tall trees such as the beech and oak.
MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE•Areas near the Mediterranean sea (South of Europe).•Temperatures are high in summer and mild in winter. •Precipitation is low, especially in summer.•Vegetation: forests with holm oaks and bushes such as rockrose.
CONTINENTAL CLIMATE
•Inland areas of the east of Europe.•Temperatures are high in summer and very low in winter.•Precipitation is higher in summer.•Vegetation forests with pines known as taigas. Plains with poor soil where only grass can grow called steppes.
POLAR CLIMATE
•Areas of the north of Scandinavian countries and Russia.•Temperatures are very low, most of the year under 0ºC.•Precipitation: there is almost no precipitation.•Vegetation: there is not much vegetation. In the warmest areas grow mosses and lichens. This is knonw as tundra.
MOUNTAIN CLIMATE•Areas in high mountains. •Temperatures are very low in winter and cool in summer.•Precipitation is abundant.•Vegetation: tundra.
