improvisation

The act of responding in a given moment.Improvisation promotes behaviors or reactions and

a heightened way of communicating.

In any given moment, how you choose to act or respond is improvisation.

Whether it be theatrical, playing music or dancing, if there is no script to follow, you are creating something from nothing.

The only Rules are...

● Give yourself permission to play● Be honest● No judgement● Everyone else is (insert your favorite

person here)● Be present, use what is in front of you● Give and Take graciously● Allow yourself to Fail ● Have fun!

Improv skills you can live by

● Listen● Say Yes!● Say Yes, And...● Accept and Advance● Fail and feature it● Make others more important*In theatrical improv, these skills are

what make a successful scene. On the stage or in life, these are critical skills to success and happiness.

Listen with all of you.

Improvisation happens when a moment is created. How you choose to act in that moment is an opportunity. An opportunity to create something that matters. Are you meeting your moments equipped to reap the rewards or walking away empty handed?-Kristy A. Oliver
