The first stage in which the notions for the film are created, rights to books/plays are bought and the screenplay are written. Funding for the project has to be well thought and planned.

Development

Arrangements are made for the shoot, in which cast and film crew are employed, locations are selected, and sets are built.

Pre-production• Every film maker

has to have an idea. And every

idea has to be structured, altered,

corrected and refined.

• Also a film maker must think about

the equipment, recruitment,

storyboard and budget.

• Pre-production is the most

fundamental stage as it’s the start and

without a start there is no end

The first scenes for the film are recorded during the film shoot.

Production

The images, sound, and visual effects of the recorded film are edited.

Post-production

The finished film is distributed and screened in cinemas and/or released on Home entertainment.

The Stages All films have to go through the same stages to get the results they want. As a consequence films would not be structured correctly.

• Short films were the start to any film makers career.

• Some film makers go back to their original ideas and develop it further.

• Also user-generated videos can also expand their creators horizons.

Short films

• Independent films more commonly known as ‘Indie films’.

• Independent films are made without the help of a studio and seen as amateur.

• However these films tend to get famous in the block office and become known as feature films.
