Stephen King was born on September 21, 1947, in
Portland, Maine.
He wrote a weekly column for the school newspaper “THE
MAINE CAMPUS”
Stephen and Tabitha Spruce married in January of 1971.
In 1973, King sold his first novel, Carrie, the tale of a
tormented teen who gets her revenge.
The Shining was made into a movie starring Jack Nicholson
King published a handful of short novels under the pseudonym
Richard Bachman.
