that all students shall be technology literate by the
end of the eighth grade.
What is a STaR Chart? NCLB requirement for all Texas teachers and campuses receiving state technology grant money.
A technology tool used for planning, budgeting, and evaluating progress of local technology projects
To be completed by the teachers, campus and public
The campus STaR Chart has four levels of progress (Early Tech, Developing Tech, Advanced Tech, or Target Tech)
STaR Chart Uses
Create and update technology plan
Help create technology visions at the campus and district levels
Measure student and teacher proficiencies
Documents progress toward meeting NCLB Applications for grants
Determines campus needs and funding priorities
