• Stay in contact with the teachers and the students– My students’ teachers would email me if they were

concerned about their student at my school. I would find them and meet with them individually about the concerns.

• Print emails to show students

– When talking to my students, they would tell me things that were different from what the teacher was communicating.

• Inform students’ online teachers of important dates at your school

– ex: Spring/Fall Break, Testing, or Extracurricular trips

• Place an e4TN link on your school’s web page for easy student access - MHS page

• Talk to your Guidance department about the possibility of scheduling time for your students to work during school hours

• Schedule final exams

• Monitors and assists students daily in lab.

• Obtain list of students’ online teachers

• Communicate with EVERYONE involved in your school

• Obtain each student’s class schedule in your school

• Meet with the students in your school at least once a week

• Assist in the resolution of any technical issues – Install plug-ins and programs– Submit tickets concerning problems with learning

management system (D2L)– Address individual student technical needs

• Each time that I email a student, I also copy the parent. If I thought the student needed extra help, I would also email the Lab Facilitator.

• As a teacher, you must:– post the class schedule or individual pacing guides– enter weekly “announcements”– contact the parents once a month– contact students every week

• Help the students, parents, Lab Facilitators as much as you can. – I had a student at a school who could not open assignments

or place them in the dropbox. Therefore, I opened the assignments and sent them as an attachment to the Lab Facilitator. After the student completed the work, the LF faxed me the assignments and I graded them.

• Log tickets

– You must turn in tickets if there are any technical problems with the content or Learning Management System (D2L) site

• Grade the assignments within 72 hrs

• Reply to student and parent emails within 24 hrs

• Remember SPRITE!
