Hemp-made products for aviation

The (green) business idea of the students• In Campania there are large areas contaminated by the illegal dumping of toxic

industrial waste• The land can no longer be allocated to alimentary crops• Instead, we can recover the ancient vocation for hemp farming (which was used to

build ropes, twines and other products now in disuse). • Hemp is a fiber that has many “green” industrial applications today • The project would create a supply chain originated from the fields, creating jobs in

the territories that would be taken away from harmful and illegal economic activities.

• The supply chain would serve a highly differentiated market niche.• The supply chain would connect hemp farms to relevant manufacturing

capabilities existing in the Campania aerospace district. • The airport facilities in Campania can be the first market that can be served by a

mix of "green" products for air transportation.A sustainable impact on• Economic• Environmental• Social

How the project could be extended?

aerospace clusters• Creating more communication

about aerospace and aviation among schools, higher education and companies

• Making young people aware of aerospace industry

• Hitting the imagination of young people, tuning in to their increasing environmental awareness
