This is my second draft of my music magazine. I do not have a picture of my first draft however my teacher gave me feedback. The feedback was that I should make the masthead bigger, and add a barcode, I also made the strapline a bit smaller. I chose to make my magazine cover quite minimal. Therefore my use of white space is effective as I made the image very strong and so that becomes the main focus rather than lots of kickers that would crowd the page and the image. I think I gave enough information on the front cover for people to be able to understand what its about. I circled the things that would help people understand that its about music and what type of genre and that it includes upcoming artists.

These are my other images from my photo shoot. I chose not to use this image because there was too much light on the models face which didn’t create a very dense image as the light was too bright. However I did like the position of the model and so I chose to keep this for the final image

Photo shoot plan

This is my second image from my photo shoot. I chose not to use this because the black and white effect wasn’t very sharp nor dark and so it didn’t really create a strong enough image as it’s not very eye-catching and it makes the image quite faded.

This is my last image and my chosen image for my front cover. I chose this one because the effects of the hard light on the models face make it very eye-catching. The strong light and dark contrasts make the image very bold therefore it stands out on the page and wouldn’t get lost on the cover.
