What is a Report?

“A report is a statement of the results of an investigation or of any matter on which definite information is required”. (Oxford English Dictionary)

Reports are a highly structured form of writing. These are carefully compiled from data

available to the writer and is directed towards achieving a specific purpose.

A mean to convey some information to others. An organized, factual, objective presentation

of information.
