PARETO DIAGRAM• A Pareto chart, named after Vilfredo Pareto, is a type

of chart that contains both bars and a line graph.

• The Purpose of the Pareto chart is to HIGHLIGHT THE MOST IMPORTANT AMONG A SET OF FACTORS.

Factors contributing 80% of problem

•We see from previous statistics that ▫Laziness▫Teacher inefficiency▫Peer Pressure and▫Self study

Constitute 80% of the reasons for bunking lectures.

Problem definition(constituting 80% problem)

•Youth feel lazy because of being spoon feed from start.

•With everything becoming faster & more simple, people are becoming lazy.

Laziness

•Teacher's monotonous, bookish and ineffective way of teaching make students feel that those lectures aren’t worth attending or their time.

Ineffective teacher

•Friends play a crucial role in determining a teenager's decision i.e. having your friend agreeing with you makes you feel right.

Peer pressure

•When exams are near, students think that self studying will give more productive output than attending lectures.

Solutions

Young minds should not be made lazy from their childhood from video games, their stamina should be built gradually from outdoor games.

Also young inquisitive minds must never be suppressed by adults, by denying them answers , thinking the are too young to understand. It has negative impact on their psychology and gradually they stop asking “WHY?”.

New and interesting teaching methods should be adopted by teachers to keep students engaged and passionate.

Lesson learned

•A Pareto Chart helps in summarizing the relative importance of the differences between different groups of data using column graphs.

•Bunking lecture is not only a failure on student’s part but also on teacher, management and other factors.
