Class formationThere are 7 Chinese Studies classes in Prep.
There are no levels among the 7 classes.
There are about 17 to 18 children in each Chinese class, as compared to 20 in Homerooms.

AssessmentThe teachers will be observing the children throughout the year during the learning and teaching process, in order to assess their development in terms of Listening & Speaking, Reading and Writing skills.
Observation will be carried out while the kids are singing and saying rhymes, having simple conversation taught, doing role plays, being engaged in reading simple books, recognizing words taught, etc.

A paper folder with a storybook will be sent home for reading during weekends

Check teacher’s blog regularlyEncourage your child review/read worksheets in
the folder and sing songs to you Review and play Characters cards with your child
at homeRead the storybooks with your kid at the weekends after the Reading Programme starts. Remind your child to bring on Mondays his/her:
red Chinese bag (Chinese book/worksheet folder) and reading book (after Christmas)
