Tennessee was “frontier” when Andrew Jackson lived there.

People who lived in Tennessee were considered to be “rough and tough”.

Jackson invited the entire country to the White House for a partywhen he became President.

Over 14,000 people showed up.

Alexander Hamilton lived during the Revolutionary War time.

Alexander Hamilton was not born on the North American continent.

He was born on the little island of Nevis.

His father abandoned his mother and Alex when he was 10.

Three years later, his mother died.

Alexander Hamilton was alone, an orphan really,

on a Caribbean island at the age of 13.

It was 1768; America hadn’t even started yet.

Young Hamilton became a bookkeeper for ships trading sugar to the United States

In 1772, at the age of 17, Hamilton was sent from Nevis to the United States to attend college.

Hamilton joined the U.S. Army during the Revolutionary War.

He worked with an artillery unit.

During the War, Hamilton became the assistant to General Washington, who would become his friend and mentor.

After the Revolutionary War, Alexander Hamilton became a banker in New York City.

To this day, Alexander Hamilton’s statue stands in New York City’s Central Park.
