Introduction

Non-Tariff barriers are trade barriers that restrict imports but are not in the usual form of a tariff.

Some common examples are anti-dumping measures and countervailing duties also called non-tariff barriers.

Non-Tariff barriers include macro-economic measures affecting trade.

It is a set of rules and regulations that are intended to change international trade flows to restrict imports.

The aim is to boos the nation’s international trade.

Tariff Barriers refers to the duties imposed on internationally traded products when they cross the national borders.

Tariff rates are still fairly high in the developed countries.
