Although the school has no advanced courses, Principal Mary Ann Mahoney pointed out that “many of our algebra students do not need to take algebra in high school. Some students move directly to Spanish 2 when they enter high school.”

Special classes

• BETYOU (Building and Enrichment Time for Youth) is a program for grades three through five that offers a wide variety of extra classes for elementary students ranging from cooking to karate and book studies to Chinese language study.

• In the middle school, Lincoln Academy offers several electives that are not common in middle schools in the neighborhood: multimedia, film study, and specialized science classes.
