• In the Gold fields you had to stay in tents, or canopy’s and when it rained it would be hard because the top of the tents would be sinking and not everyone could fit under the canopy.

the women had to cook and wash they even danced and sung while there husbands

DRESS• In the 1800s women had

to wear big heavy dresses that touched the floor and were bright and dark colours, while men wore loose fitted,comfortable clothes.They have lone trousers held up with a belt, rope or braces. Children...boys had to wear nearly the same clothes as there fathers.

TRANSPORT• People travelled

to the Goldfields any way they could most commonly people walked. Some rode horses or took a horse an dray. Later on regular coach services operated between the Goldfields Goldfields

FOOD AND WATER• People on the

Goldfields commonly ate damper a simple bread made of flour, salt and water and cooked over an opened camp fire. they also drank tea because the water on the Goldfields was warm.

LEISURE ACTIVITIES

• On the Goldfields children children had to work hard but in there spare time they played games and toys. Children also collected glass balls called marbles, which was there favourite game

EDUCATION

• Children on the Goldfields need some education so some people set up tents so they can have shade while working and studying.
