Jacek Yerka, Polish surrealist painter, born in Torun in Poland, lives and works with his family in a rural enclave of his native Poland. Start by studying the History of Art and follows courses in graphics, then devoted himself to painting in 1980. Paints (at first only with oil and acrylic on canvas) with meticulous realism Flemish style. In his works glimpsed the pastoral atmosphere of the Polish countryside, but it is not a structural basis, indeed the magic dreamy Yerka inspired by the artists and characters of 15th-16th century: Cagliostro. Hieronymus Bosch, Pieter Bruegel, Hugo van der Goes and Jan van Eyck and also the modern Magritte: a spell in which he is made of culture, great imagination and symbolism.
