ITALY

By Hugo Malga Cuevas

Italy is a large country in Europe with a population of about 57 million. Italy’s

neighbours are France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia.

Its capital is Rome.

The currency is the euro since 2002.

I Italy is very famous for its historic remains

from The Roman Empire.

At other times The Roman Empire dominated the world, they were powerful, and they were also in Spain.

Italian is the official language but there are also some dialects. People study English and French and they also study Spanish at school.

Every day lots of immigrants try to arrive to the Italian coasts, and many of them die.

It’s an enormous tragedy, most of them are small children and babies.

They arefrom Africa, mainly from Syria and they also came from Libya. They run away from the war or famine and they are

looking for a better future.

WE CAN CHANGE IT AND WE MUST DO IT.
