What is DAPA?DAPA is a proposed federal program, that provides

temporary work authorization, protection from deportation, a Social Security Number, and other

benefits to certain immigrant parents whose children are U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents.

The DAPA program has NOT started yet. There are no applications available.

What is DACA?DACA is a federal program, started in 2012, that provides temporary

work authorization, protection from deportation, a Social Security Number, and other benefits to certain immigrant youth who were

brought to the U.S. as children.

DACA can be renewed every two years.

1. Came to the US before 16 years old

2. Has continuously lived in the US since June 15, 2007

5. Under 31 years old on June 15, 2012

3. Entered without inspection OR visa expired before June 15, 2012

4. In school, graduated from HS, obtained GED, or honorable discharge from military

6. Not convicted of felony, significant misdemeanor, multiple misdemeanors

7. Physically present in US on June 15, 2012 and at the time submit application
