Allows individuals with health insurance under

another person’s policy to feel safe enough to use it

Patients can submit a confidential communications

request (CCR)

Communications sent to patient rather than policy

holder

Takes effect January 1, 2015

Individual seeking any health service if

disclosure of information could endanger

patient

Individual seeking sensitive services

Patient submits CCR before, during or after

address/preferred communication
