Granting Permission for Late Adds—Students who ARE on

the waitlist.

1st Thing to Know…

• You may grant permission to allow students to add your class until the capacity of your class is reached.

• If you wish to add students after the cap has been met, you may grant permission for waitlisted students ONLY. Waitlisted students to whom you grant permission to register are the only ones that can register over the class capacity.

The difference: Adding waitlisted students vs. adding students NOT on the waitlist:

• When adding waitlisted students, the section capacity will be overridden.

• You can add students who are NOT on the waitlist until the section capacity is met. You cannot add students who are not waitlisted if your section is already at

capacity.

Permission for Waitlisted Students to Add

It’s easy beezy to allow students waitlisted students to add your class!

Waitlisted student now has permission to register.

You have granted permission for a waitlisted student to register for your class even though the class has started. I know many of you teach one class after another, so I would urge to you to tell students when you would be finishing this process so they know when they can use WebAdvisor to add your class. (“I am teaching until 4:15 today, I will grant permission to add this class by 5:00. You may register after that time.”)

Permission Deadline

Permission ends the day before census day of your class…but I would ask

that you tell students to register ASAP.

Thank you
