Differences and similarities between France, Sweden,

Spain and Holland concerning water.

Global Warming

Spain

• Gota fria : Big rain which makes a lot of damage and floods.

• In Spain, it occures each year in Automn.

Holland• Holland is like a basin, so if water

goes in, there will be floods, and a lot of things will be destroyed.

• Global warming makes the sea level increase. Holland has risen up dikes, but they break down because of the preasure.

Sweden

• Eutrophication : When the farmers throw nitrogen and phosphorus in the nature, it goes in the underground water, lakes, seas, and pollute them.

• The biggest source of acidification in Sweden is the burning and use of fossil fuels, that is one of a couple of things that cause global warming.

France• In France, half of the underground

water has a rate of fertilizers which is over the limit.

• Concerning water, France is the most polluted country in Europe and 3rd in the world.

• 561 oil slicks were counted in France between 2004 and 2007.

Protect the planet !

• To protect water in the world, people should be more careful.

• The use of polluting substances should be regulated, not to make ice melt, for example. Because the increasing sea level . could be a desaster in every countries which have coasts, and espacially in Holland
