The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) makes provisions to assist states and schools with their efforts to accommodate
the unique educational and developmental needs of students with disabilities. IDEA focuses on greater coordination and involvement by
parents and teachers, and more professional development for all involved in educating students with disabilities. IDEA supports the use
and implementation of assistive technology.
