Curriculum for Skill Development
• EI is an online tool that measures the potential employability of a youth prior to joining a skill development course
• Very useful in the process of selecting candidates for a job-oriented vocational training program
• Takes into account a set of parameters that influence employability and returns a score between 0 and 1. The closer EI is to 1, the higher the employability
• Strong correlation between EI score and placement/retention
• Can be customized to suit a particular location, trade, or profile of candidates
Employability Index (EI)
• Simple tool that helps understand a candidate’s personality traits
• Once this is known, the candidate can be better guided to pursue a particular career direction
• Can be customized as a selection tool for specific trades such as driving, data entry etc.
• Based on John Holland’s RIASEC personality types, a well-established career guidance tool in the US
Personality-Career Alignment Tool (PCAT)
