Characteristics of a good Research Problem(Ary, Jacobs & Sorensen, 2010, p. 51)

Criteria in Choosing a Research Problem(CES Study guide)

1. Workability: Accessibility to sample, answerable problem; manageable method

2. Critical mass: Magnitude and scope of the problem. How significant

3. Interest: Are you interested in the problem and its solution? How relevant to your specialization area

4. Theoretical value: Does the problem fill a gap in literature/ will others recognize its importance?

5. Practical value: Will the solution to the problem bring improvement in the field?
