2. Decide what you want the students to DO in the class which will help them to explore the topic. (make a project, discuss, experiment, research. etc.)

3. Prepare a list of tasks for students once you have decided what you want to DO.

4. Identify the 21st century skills you would like to focus on in a lesson (e.g. collaboration or information fluency)

a. Start by focusing on only one skill in a lesson.

b. Pick no more than one or two places within a lesson to focus on the selected skill.
