Why change? Why we need to be more dog

WHY CHANGE

• IN TEACHING, AS IN MEDICINE, WE CANNOT IMPROVE THE

QUALITY OF THE PROFESSION BY RETREATING TO A FOUR-

DECADES-OLD VERSION OF IT.

•THE MORE THE STUDENT BECOMES THE TEACHER AND THE

MORE THE TEACHER BECOMES THE LEARNER THEN THE

MORE SUCCESSFUL THE OUTCOMES. ( HARGREAVES, AND FULLAN

PROFESSIONAL CAPITAL)

TWICE THE LEARNING FOR HALF THE PRICE

• IF STUDENTS BECAME THE TECHNOLOGY EXPERTS FOR

TEACHERS; IF STUDENTS HELPED TEACH OTHER STUDENTS, IF

THE LEARNING DAY WAS DOUBLED AS STUDENTS CONDUCTED

PURPOSEFUL WORK OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL HOURS AS THEY ALSO

BECAME MORE ENGAGED IN LEARNING DURING THE DAY. (THE

PRINCIPAL, THREE KEYS TO MAXIMIZING IMPACT, MICHAEL FULLAN. )

Any comments ?

• Discuss with your shoulder partner:

• At my school it is the students who decide how to work with the different themes and competence goals

• We trust our students to know what to do and how to do it. .
