How Do You Research A Question?
By Claudia
First you find keywords that relate to your question. Type the keywords into
google or any other site you know is resourceful.
Once you have typed in the keywords pick a website to have a look in to find the answer to a question. Don’t just pick the first site you see. Look at the
website address and see if it is suitable. Some websites may be trying to sell you something.
Ignore those sites. You should also ignore sites that have nothing to do with what you are looking for.
Once you have found a suitable site hold down Control and press ‘F’, a little box should come up at the bottom of the screen. If that doesn’t work hold down Apple ‘F’. If that still doesn’t
work you obviously will have to read the whole story.
If it does come up type in one of your keywords and that word should be highlighted. Read the sentence with
that word in it. You could read the whole paragraph if you want. If that doesn’t help you click the ‘next’ button next to the place where you typed in the
keyword.
Check that paragraph or sentence. Keep repeating that process until you reach the end of the page. If you
haven’t found the answer to your question it probably isn’t in that site so try other sites using the same
method. If after about 5 sites you still don’t have your answer keep trying if you want or you could ask
someone or hit the books (not literally). You should find an answer.
That is how you research a question.
