Kindergarden• When the children are

younger than three years, they don’t go to school. They go to the kindergarten.

• The kindergarten is optional.

• Educación infantil refers to the first six non-compulsory years of education which is split into two cycles of three years each.

Nursery School• When the children are

older than three and younger than five they go to the nursery school.

• The nursery school is obligatory.

• The nursery school lasts three years. – P3– P4 – P5

Primary• In the primary

school there are three cycles:

- 6-8 - 8-10 - 12-14

Secondary• Lasts four years. • Divided into two cycles:

– 12 to 14 – 14 to 16.

• The subjects are:– Natural and social

sciences– History and geography– Physical education– Visual arts, music– English or French and an

autonomous community language

– Literature– Mathematics– Technology

High school• The students can

choose differents options:

- Training cycles:- computers, administration

and mechanics.

- High school:- arts, - Sciences- humanities and socials

sciences - technology.

- It lasts 2 years

THE CLASSROOMS…• Twenty- eight big and wide

classrooms. • Languages classroom,• three or four laboratories• music room, • Arts classroom• Library, • a bar, • a gym • “Sala Coromines”(the

biggest room)

The school playground

Playground 1

• The up playground has two goals, but students don’t like playing soccer there. In this playground students are quiet. This playground has a porch and you see a big ramp.

Playground 2

• In this playground there is a soccer field and a small forest. In summer we go under the small forest to protect from the sun.
