Initial purpose was to study the outer solar system – Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune and eventually interstellar space.

Launched in 1977.Still travelling.

Voyager 1 and Voyager 2.

Did the explorer find what he went exploring for

• Voyager 1 provided detailed images of Jupiter and Saturn and their moons. It also studied the weather, magnetic fields, and rings of those planets.

• Voyager 2 is still the only spacecraft visited Uranus and Neptune.

• Both voyagers leaved the Solar system and entered interstellar space.
