.The building appeared in 1840-1860 on the site of the old burned down in 1834 palace

In the palace there are 1200 rooms, 100 staircases and 5 kilometers of corridors.

The British Parliament has two “houses”. They are the House of Lords and the House of Commons.

House of Lords

The House of Lords can offer and change laws.

House of Commons

The House of Commons makes laws about the policy of the country, taxes and many other things.
