ProcessProcessWe can make an area of a circle in two ways: as a circle, and as a rectangle (as shown in the diagram).

The height of the rectangle, is equal to the radius of the circle. The width of the rectangle, equals half the circumference of the circle.

ChallengesChallengesCutting out the pieces of the circle and putting them in ‘rectangle’ form was a huge challenge for us. It was then a lot easier for us to complete the challenge.

SolutionSolutionWe found out that the area of a circle is equivalent to that of a rectangle.
