Aphorisms

• Short statement that expresses an opinion, perception or general truth

• “If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail”– General truth= people who are narrow-minded,

only see what they want to see.

Work period

• Each person must choose an aphorism, and think about what general truth, opinion or perspective does it express- then draw a picture that best expresses that

• Fill out your Index Card with the Aphorism on one side and your picture on the other

• Be prepared to share your thoughts• Homework: If you finished your card, no homework;

otherwise, please finish.
