ACTION MOVIES AND ATTITUDE OF

YOUTH TOWARDS THEM

INTRODUCTION:

•Action movies are a type of movie genre that includes violence, frantic chases, fight scenes and villain.•In action movies heroes face a series of challenges and ends up in victory of them.

110 years ago action genre was introduced to Hollywood.

Very first action movie was “THE GREAT TRAIN ROBERRY” released in 1903. It was written produced and directed by  Edwin S. Porter, a former Edison Studios cameraman.

HISTORY:

MAKING OF ACTION MOVIES:

•Optical effects are produced by using multiple exposure and film frames.•Optical effect might be used to place actors or sets against a different background

EDITING:•Editors and animators can change the location or background by using computers.•The breath taking stunts are the result of hard work of editors, which were previously done by stuntmen “THE DARE DEVIL.

EFFECTS OF ACTION MOVIES:•Daring stunts inspire the youth and they may try to copy them which results in bad consequences.•Violence in action movies have the tendency to make the youth aggressive.•Frequent use of weapons also creates negative impact on the immature minds of youth.

Effects of action movies:•Violence in action movies have the tendency to make the youth aggressive.•The excessive use of drugs, other prohibited things and smoking by heroes in movies creates a very negative impact on the minds of youth.

•Such movies may also cause emotional and physical effects in viewers’ body like increased heart rate.•Watching 3D action movies can cause dizziness, nausea and headache.

The results showed that stunts, suspense, thrill weapon attract youth.

The males are more interested in action movies than females and a good number of males have also tried stunts and the consequences were bad.

CONCLUSION:
