TAX REFUND
Press release January 26, 2009
• Due to a very significant increase in tax collection for the year 2007 – 08, Ministry of Finance has decided to refund 70% of the tax surplus to the tax payers before the new fiscal 2007 - 08.
• Average refund will be between 25,000 to 50,000 /- for a married couple and upto 15,000/- for a single person based on tax paid for the assessment year 2007 - 08.
