تعزيه زيارت

Ashurá day is an extremely sorrowful day due to the atrocities that

were done on the Prophet’s household. As part of

commemoration, we should refrain from ALL enjoyment (business,

TV, Sports, vain talk, etc.) and spend the whole day in remembering

each and every incident of that day and doing the recommended

A’amaal. The events that took place on Ashurá was the fight

between RIGHT (HAQ) and FALSEHOOD (BATIL). This is an

ongoing struggle in the life of any human being. As proof of our

solidarity with Imam (A) we should do a self analysis of our daily

lives and actions and ensure that we are with HAQ and that we

develop strong will-power to oppose temptations (both internal and

external) to FALSEHOOD. When greeting each other today, do not

say Salaam Alaikum, Instead, say the following:

اعظم هللا أجورنا وأجوركم بمصاب سيد الشهداء أبا عبدهللا الحسين عليه السالم

MUCH AND HIGHLY SATISFYING IS THE REWARD FROM ALLAH

FOR US (WHEN) WE ARE WITH THE MASTER OF MARTYRS

HUSSAIN (A), IN HIS SORROW & GRIEF.

O' Alláh send Your blessings on

Muhammad

and the family of Muhammad.

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali

muhammadin

ي ن بسم الل حم حم الر الرIn the Name of Alláh,

the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

bismi allahi alrrahmini alrrahimi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ة دم صفا وارث ا ك الم غل الس

ي ا للPeace be on you, O inheritor of Adam,

the select of Allah!

alssalamu `alayka ya waritha adama sifwati

allahi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ح هب ا وارث ه ك الم غل السي ا لل

Peace be on you, O inheritor of Noah,

the prophet of Allah!

alssalamu `alayka ya waritha nuhin nabiyyi

allahi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ا وارث إبرام ك الم غل السي خلن ا لل

Peace be on you, O inheritor of

Abraham, the intimate friend of Allah!

alssalamu `alayka ya waritha ibrahima

khalili allahi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ا وارث ك الم غل الس مسي ملم ا لل

Peace be on you, O inheritor of Moses,

who received direct communication

from Allah!

alssalamu `alayka ya waritha musa kalimi

allahi

Peace be on you, O inheritor of Jesus,

the Spirit of Allah!

alssalamu `alayka ya waritha `isa ruhi allahi

Peace be on you, O inheritor of

Muhammad, the most beloved by

Allah!

alssalamu `alayka ya waritha muhammadin

habibi allahi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

امر ا وارث غل ك الم غل السمؤمون

اللي ا ل ول

Peace be on you, O inheritor of `Ali,

the Commander of the Believers and

the intimate servant of Allah!

alssalamu `alayka ya waritha `aliyyin amiri

almu'minina waliyyi allahi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ا وارث ك الم غل حسن الس ا ل

د ي سبط رسل ا لش ا للPeace be on you, O inheritor of al-

Hasan, the martyr and grandson of

Allah’s Messenger!

alssalamu `alayka ya waritha alhasani

alshshahidi sibti rasuli allahi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ا بن رسل ك الم غل ي الس ا للPeace be on you, O son of Allah’s

Messenger!

alssalamu `alayka yabna rasuli allahi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ا بن ك الم غل بشر الس ا ل

ذر ا لوPeace be on you, O son of the bringer

of glad tidings and the warner

alssalamu `alayka yabna albashiri

alnnadhiri

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

and son of the chief of the prophets’

successors!

wabna sayyidi alwasiyyina

Peace be on you, O son of Fatimah,

the doyenne of the women of the

world!

alssalamu `alayka yabna fatimata sayyidati

nisa‘i al`alamina

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ا ابا غبد ك الم غل ي الس ا للPeace be on you, O Abu-`Abdullah!

alssalamu `alayka ya aba `abdillahi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

رة ك ا خ الم غل ي الس وا بن ا للرثي خ

Peace be on you, O select of Allah and

the son of His select ones!

alssalamu `alayka ya khiyarata allahi wabna

khiyaratihi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ك ا ثار الم غل ي الس وا بن ا لل ثارى

Peace be on you, O revenge of Allah

and the son of His revenge!

alssalamu `alayka ya thara allahi wabna

tharihi

Peace be on you, O unique (in

suffering tribulations) and the

oppressed!

alssalamu `alayka ayyuha alwitru

almawturu

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ا ك ا الم غل ادي ا إلمام الس ا ل

م ا لزPeace be on you, O guide, pure leader!

alssalamu `alayka ayyuha al-imamu alhadi

alzzakiyyu

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ت بفوائك وغل ارواح حلارك واقامت ف ج

and on the souls of those who

presented themselves in your camp,

resided in your vicinity,

wa `ala arwahin hallat bifina'ika wa aqamat

fi jiwarika

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ارك ووفدت مع زوand came with the visitors of you.

wa wafadat ma`a zuwwarika

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ما بقت وبق ك مو الم غل السن ار ا لل وا لو

(Incessant) peace be upon you, from

me, as long as I am alive and as long

as there are day and night.

alssalamu `alayka minni ma baqitu wa

baqiya allaylu walnnaharu

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ة فلقد غظمت بك ز ا لرVerily, astounding has been the

calamity for us

falaqad `azumat bika alrraziyyatu

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

مصاب وجن مؤمون ف ا ل

ا لمسلمن

وا ل

and unbearable has been the adversity

for the believers, Muslims,

wa jalla almusabu fi almu'minina

walmuslimina

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ن ماوات وف ا اجمػن ا لسfor all the inhabitants of the heavens,

wa fi ahli alssamawati ajma`ina

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ان ا الرضن وف سلand for the inhabitants of the layers of

the earth.

wa fi sukkani al-aradina

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ي راجػن ا إل ي وإه ا لل فإه

So, we are Allah’s and verily unto Him

we return.

fa'inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji`una

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ات ي وصل اثي ا لل وبرماثي وثحك غل

And Allah’s peace, blessings, and

benedictions be upon you,

wa salawatu allahi wa barakatuhu wa

tahiyyatuhu `alayka

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

بائك وغلرن ا ا

بن ا لط ا لط

موججبن ا ل

upon your forefathers; the pure, the

pious, and the elite,

wa `ala aba'ika alttahirina alttayyibina

almuntajabina

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

م وغل داة ذرار ن ا ل

د م ا ل

and upon their offspring; the guides

and well-guided.

wa `ala dhararihimu alhudati almahdiyyina

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

م الي وغل ا م ك الم غل الس

Peace be upon you O my master, upon

them,

alssalamu `alayka ya mawlaya wa `alayhim

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

روحك وغل م وغل ارواحupon your soul, upon their souls,

wa `ala ruhika wa `ala arwahihim

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ثربجك وغل م وغل ثربجupon the soil in which you are buried,

and upon the soil in which they are

buried.

wa `ala turbatika wa `ala turbatihim

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

اها م رحمة ورض قم ل الل

O Allah, (please do) shed over them

mercy, pleasure (of You),

allahumma laqqihim rahmatan wa ridwanan

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

حاها وروحا ورhappiness, and bounty.

wa rawhan wa rayhanan

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ا ابا غبد الي ا م ك الم غل السي ا لل

Peace be upon you, my master Abu-

`Abdullah;

alssalamu `alayka ya mawlaya ya aba

`abdillahi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ا بن خاثم ن ب ا لو

O Son of the Seal of the Prophets,

yabna khatami alnnabiyyina

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ا د و ن بن س ص ا ل

son of the Chief of the Prophets’

successors,

wa yabna sayyidi alwasiyyina

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ا دة هساء و من بن سػال

ا ل

and son of the doyenne of the women

of the world.

wa yabna sayyidati nisa'i al`alamina

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ا بن د ا ش ك الم غل الس

د ا لش

Peace be upon you, O martyr, son of

the martyr,

alssalamu `alayka ya shahidu yabna

alshshahidi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ا اخا د ا ابا ا لش داء ا لشbrother of the martyr, and father of the

martyrs.

ya akha alshshahidi ya aba alshshuhada'i

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ف غي غو م بل ذى الل اغة ا لس

O Allah, (please do) convey to him on

behalf of me at this hour,

allahumma ballighhu `anni fi hadhihi

alssa`ati

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ذاوف م ا ل

on this day,

wa fi hadha alyawmi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ذاوف قت ا ل

at this moment,

wa fi hadha alwaqti

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

وف من وقت and at all time

wa fi kulli waqtin

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ثرة وسالما ة م ثحabundant greetings and salutations.

tahiyyatan kathiratan wa salaman

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ي سالم ك ورحمة ا لل ي غل ا لل وبرماثي

Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah

be upon you,

salamu allahi `alayka wa rahmatu allahi wa

barakatuhu

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

O son of the master of the nations,

yabna sayyidi al`alamina

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

دن وغل مسجشمػك سالما ا ل

صال مجand upon those whom were martyred

with you by such incessant greetings

wa `ala almustash-hadina ma`aka salaman

muttasilan

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

صن ما ن ا ث ار ا لل وا لوthat endure as long as there are day

and night.

ma ittasala allaylu walnnaharu

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

Peace be upon al-Husayn, the son of

`Ali, the martyr.

alssalamu `ala alhusayni bni `aliyyin

alshshahidi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

الم الس بن غل ن غل حس ا ل

Peace be upon `Ali, the son of al-

Husayn, the martyr.

alssalamu `ala `aliyyi bni alhusayni

alshshahidi

ا لشPeace be upon al-`Abbas, the son of

the Commander of the Believers, the

martyr.

alssalamu `ala al`abbasi bni amiri

almu'minina alshshahidi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

مؤمون امر ا ل

Peace be upon the martyrs from

among the descendants of the

Commander of the Believers.

alssalamu `ala alshshuhada'i min wuldi

amiri almu'minina

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

الم الس داء غل د ا لشمن ول

حسن ا ل

Peace be upon the martyrs from

among the descendants of al-Hasan.

alssalamu `ala alshshuhada'i min wuldi

alhasani

الم الس داء غل د ا لشمن ول

ن حس ا ل

Peace be upon the martyrs from

among the descendants of al-

Husayn.

alssalamu `ala alshshuhada'i min wuldi

alhusayni

جػفر وغقن Peace be upon the martyrs from

among the descendants of Ja`far and

`Aqil.

alssalamu `ala alshshuhada'i min wuldi

ja`farin wa `aqilin

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

الم الس م غل د مػ من مسجشمؤمون من ا ل

Peace be upon all the believers whom

were martyred with them.

alssalamu `ala kulli mustash-hadin

ma`ahum min almu'minina

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

د وا محم

O Allah, (please do) send blessings to

Muhammad and the Household of

Muhammad

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali

muhammadin

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ثرة وسالما ة م ثح م غو غ وبلand convey to them abundant

greetings and salutations on behalf

of me.

wa ballighhum `anni tahiyyatan kathiratan

wa salaman

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ك ا رسل الم غل ي الس ا للPeace be upon you, O Allah’s

Messenger!

alssalamu `alayka ya rasula allahi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ي احسن ك ا للػزاء ل

May Allah confer upon you excellent

consolation concerning the (tragedy)

of al-Husayn, your son.

ahsana allahu laka al`aza'a fi waladika

alhusayni

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ا فاطمة ك الم غل السPeace be upon you, O Fatimah!

alssalamu `alayki ya fatimatu

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ي احسن ك ا للػزاء ل

May Allah confer upon you excellent

consolation concerning the (tragedy)

of al-Husayn, your son.

ahsana allahu laki al`aza'a fi waladiki

alhusayni

Peace be upon you, O Commander of

the Believers!

alssalamu `alayka ya amira almu'minina

May Allah confer upon you excellent

consolation concerning the (tragedy)

of al-Husayn, your son.

ahsana allahu laka al`aza'a fi waladika

Peace be upon you, Abu-Muhammad

al-Hasan!

alssalamu `alayka ya aba muhammadin

May Allah confer upon you excellent

consolation concerning the (tragedy)

of al-Husayn, your brother.

ahsana allahu laka al`aza'a fi akhika

alhusayni

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ا ابا غبد الي ا م ي ا للO my master, Abu-`Abdullah!

ya mawlaya ya aba `abdillahi

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ف ي اها ض فك ا لل وضI am now Allah’s and your guest

ana dayfu allahi wa dayfuka

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ي وجار وجارك ا للand Allah’s and your neighbor!

wa jaru allahi wa jaruka

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ف وجار قرى وللن ضEach guest and neighbor must receive

hospitality!

wa likulli dayfin wa jarin qiran

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ذاوقراي ف قت ا ل

My hospitality at this time

wa qiraya fi hadha alwaqti

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ي ان ثسال سبحاهي ا لل وثػال

is that you may beseech Almighty

Allah

an tas'ala allaha subhanahu wa ta`ala

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

رزقو فلاك رقبج من ار ان ا لوto release me from Hellfire.

an yarzuqani fakaka raqabati min alnnari

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

ي سمع غاء إه قرب مجب ا لدVerily, He is Hearer of prayers, Nigh,

and Responsive.

innahu sami`u alddu`a'i qaribun mujibun

تعزيه زيارت Ziyárat of Ta`ziyah

د وا محم
