Zen CIRCULATION BOOST Essential Oil Blend
Zen EUCALYPTUS Essential Oil
Zen SWEET ORANGE Essential Oil
SURPRISE GIFT! Homeology ROSEMARY MINT Cleaner
ZEN CIRCULATION BOOST ESSENTIAL OIL BLEND
This is a blend that many will appreciate. It will help blood
flow, circulation, good delivery of nutrients throughout the
body and improved energy. Some people suffer from cramps
of the legs or limbs; others have sluggish days or slower
circulation. This blend will help!
Here are the essential oils in your blend and exactly why they
were chosen:
Certified Organic Jojoba Oil & Sunflower Oil as the carrier oils
(remember, carrier oils are the oils blended with the essential
oils so that you may apply it topically.) These oils love your
skin and help with absorption of the essential oils.
Ginger: Well known for anti‐inflammatory powers as well as support of the immune system,
helping with circulation and reducing pain. In aromatherapy, it’s dynamic, strong and stimulating.
Has been used for easing such conditions as rheumatism and spasm.
Cinnamon: One of my favorites, a warming essential oil. It decreases inflammation, fights free
radicals, warms the body, stimulates the immune system and can dilute blood vessels.
Rosemary: Is stimulating to mind and soul, energizes and uplifts. Promotes cognitive alertness,
and helps the body with regeneration, circulation and fatigue.
Basil: Helpful antioxidant, which helps guard against degeneration and enhances well‐being. Basil
is known to be anti‐spasmodic .
HOW TO USE:
This is a topical blend which should also be inhaled when you use it (for additional effectiveness).
1) At bedtime, simply massage some drops onto your feet, calves and/or behind your knees if
you have poor circulation in the legs. Drop some on your wrists and the back of your neck.
Always take several deep breaths in before or after you apply topically.
Always refer to the SAFETY TIPS on the website: http://www.zenbox‐essentialoils.com/safety/ Essential Oils Have Super Powers®
2) In the morning, we recommend that you SKIN BRUSH, then apply the Circulation Boost to
feet, back of knees and wrists. (I do this from time to time after my daily Skin Brushing.) Skin
Brushing helps move and support the lymphatic system + circulatory system to keep you well,
plus it invigorates, improves skin tone and exfoliates! Using Circulation Boost after Skin Brushing
will help continue the process of supporting your body systems. If you don’t know about Skin
Brushing, check out our site here: www.Skin‐Brushing.com
3) Use anytime you feel sluggish and slowed down, perhaps after a virus or cold, or when
suffering a hang‐over!
Safety: there is typically no skin irritation or reactions with the blends, but always test patch it
once before starting to use. It’s best not to use topically on babies or young children under 2
year of age. Remember to keep all essential oils away from the eyes, keep away from children
and do not ingest or drink it!

ZEN EUCALYPTUS ESSENTIAL OIL Latin name: Eucalyptus Globulus
Sourced: China (most is sourced from China, Australia and Spain today)
Production: Steam Distillation (leaves)
Eucalyptus is one of the essential oils everyone should have – and many
people are familiar with. It’s powerful, fresh and medicinal. Eucalyptus is
superior for respiratory and sinus support, for its antibacterial and
antifungal powers, and for wellness support.
The plant is originally native to Australia. Some may recognize that
products like Vicks Vaporub have mimicked eucalyptus (as well as
menthol and camphor).
CAUTIONS: Be careful using with children under ten years of age; and if you are asthmatic.
Research has shown eucalptus can help with bronchial asthma, BUT there is concern that it can
also set off an attack. Proceed slowly and carefully.
Eucalyptus is typically NOT applied directly to skin (like most essential oils) without being mixed
in a carrier oil or cream first.
HISTORICAL ANECDOTES: Aborigines in Australia used eucalyptus for almost everything (along
with tea tree.) Eucalyptus was one of the essential oils used by the infamous “thieves of
Marseilles” to survive the plague in the Medieval age France. As early as the 1880s, surgeons
were using eucalyptus oil as an antiseptic during operations and for wounds. It was very much in

demand during World War I, even helping to control a meningitis outbreak. It was also used
heavily for the influenza of 1919.
Eucalyptus came to the U.S. from Australia during the Gold Rush, with trees planted in California
in the 1850s.
IN AROMATHERAPY: Eucalyptus is uplifting, soothes exhaustion and helps with energy, and it
clears the mind and assists with focus.
SCIENTIFIC: There are so many excellent scientific and clinical studies and tests with eucalyptus.
I note just a few:
a) Researchers at Australia’s Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital tested eucalyptus (also tea
tree and lemongrass) against anti‐biotic resistant superbugs. They also tested common
antiseptics used at hospitals (rubbing alcohol) at the same time. The essential oils had large
zones of inhibition of the superbugs – far superior results than the rubbing alcohol.
b) Dr. Chao studied a blend of essential oils including eucalyptus that mimics the blend that the
infamous “thieves of Marseilles” used against the Plague (they used it topically). He diffused
eucalyptus along with clove, rosemary, cinnamon and lemon in a room with various cultures. It
reduced all of the bacteria significantly within 10 minutes.
c) Cermelli, Fabio and Quaglio studied the effect of eucalyptus essential oil on respiratory
bacteria and viruses, which was very favorable and published in “Current Microbiology (issue 56,
1, 89‐92.)
HOW TO USE:
Breathe in the powerful scent whenever you wish; put some in your inhaler or diffuse it!
1) Eucalyptus is a strong antibacterial. If you feel a cold coming on, use the Eucalyptus in a
steam blend (a steam tent or breath in from your diffuser) for a few days, two to three times a
day. It’s also preventative for cold or flu. And obviously, if you have sick people around you,
diffuse for protection!
2) If you suffer from ongoing sinus problems or colds, start addressing it with eucalyptus with
inhalations every few hours. At night, you can diffuse it or, make a cream or oil (4 drops in 2
ounces) and apply to chest and temples before bed. It can be a little stimulating but will also help
with respiration and killing bacteria that may be causing the sinus infections.
3) Tired, sore, fatigued? Eucalyptus is great to help revive you. Inhale or diffuse ‐ plus if you
have muscular tiredness, you can put a few drops in your favorite oil or cream and massage to
set yourself right.
Always refer to the SAFETY TIPS on the website: http://www.zenbox‐essentialoils.com/safety/ Essential Oils Have Super Powers®
4) After a long day or week, put a few drops of eucalyptus in your bath, or do a foot soak. You
will feel revived and breathe clearer! This is especially good on a weeknight when you have to
get up the next day for more of the same – it helps revive and fortify you.
5) Hand cleaner – especially for grease and grime (who knew?) Eucalyptus helps to cut through
the grease. You can put a few drops into your soap or a cream, or if you are especially dirty and
greasy, mix some eucalyptus with Epsom salts and rub all around your hands.
6) If my husband has been sick (not that often) or our house guests had a cold when visiting
(more common), I put a drop or two of eucalyptus in the washer and/or dryer to disinfect the
towels and sheets the guests used!
7) Simply diffuse eucalyptus in the home to invigorate, energize, refresh and protect! I actually
diffuse it after we cook or bake fish – it takes the fishy smell away and freshen up!
8) Note: While I prefer Tea Tree for addressing mold, eucalyptus has these powers too!
Zen SWEET ORANGE Essential Oil
Latin Name: Citrus sinensis Sourced: Brazil (in a tip of the hat
to the Olympics!) Production: Cold pressed (rind)
Fresh, light, fruity, bright, delicious and pleasant, Sweet
Orange is a great essential oil – not medicinal but familiar
and sweet! In aromatherapy, it unblocks poor energy,
soothes the soul, fights pessimism, and helps calm the
perfectionist who can’t tolerate mistakes!
CAUTION: Sweet Orange, like all of the citrus essential oils,
is phototoxic. Don’t use it topically and then go into the sun!
BACKGROUND & HISTORICAL ANECDOTES: The precise origin of Citrus sinensis has never been
established, but many botanists believe it originated somewhere between Southwestern China
and the Himalayas! Ancient Chinese literature ‐ as long ago as 2400 BC – mentioned sweet
orange. By around 800 AD Arab traders had introduced oranges into eastern Africa and the
Middle East , and then traders brought them to Europe later. Christopher Columbus brought
seeds to the Caribbean!

In the early 1900’s the perfumery industry used vast quantities of this oil in fragrance
formulations for soaps, detergents, toiletries and perfumes. (Since then, many companies
implemented synthetic copies for the products.)
SCIENTIFIC: Sweet Orange is great for the liver: the constituent d‐Limonene can increase the rate
of synthesis of glutathione S‐transferase in the liver. This is an important enzyme in
detoxification pathways (Tisserand and Young 2014). Bodake et al. (2002) and Ozbek et al.
(2003) noted that d‐limonene had serious liver protective actions. It has been studied for
indigestion as well as inflammation and pain reduction. Sweet orange is being studied for its
chemopreventive effects to support cancer treatment. After grapefruit, Sweet orange has the
highest level of d‐limonene, which gives it its superpowers!
HOW TO USE:
1) Digestive support: Sweet orange oil is one of the best choices in a blend for digestive
disorders. It reduces constipation, gas, abdominal spasms, nausea, and vomiting. It’s also used
for irritable bowel syndrome. Here is a recipe for IBS:
5 drops Orange
5 drops Roman Chamomile
4 drops Bergamot
5 drops Sandalwood
Add to 2 ounces of a nice cream or oil and massage on your tummy and lower back. You could
add a drop of Peppermint in, or better yet, diffuse Peppermint while using the recipe on the skin.
2) Orange is very useful for pain and inflammation. Inhale, diffuse, add to bath water, or a
compress. Orange blends well with Lavender, Geranium, and Peppermint – all from earlier ZEN
BOXES (1 drop each into an ounce of cream or oil) to help reduce inflammation or pain.
3) Kids love the smell – diffuse it to dispel tantrums or frustrations! While sweet orange is
uplifting, it also quells stress and helps calm the spirit – great for kids.
4) Feeling down? Sweet Orange is an anti‐depressant. It provides an uplifting and fresh feeling
that it adds happiness to your life!
5) Astringent for skin. Many citrus oils, including Orange, can tone the skin and reduce
secretions. It’s a good one to drop into some witch hazel and lightly smooth on skin with a cotton
ball.
6) Immunostimulant: With its antibacterial, antioxidant actions & anti‐inflammatory effects,
orange essential oil can be used to help support the immune system and promote overall well‐
being.
Always refer to the SAFETY TIPS on the website: http://www.zenbox‐essentialoils.com/safety/ Essential Oils Have Super Powers®
7) Liver protection. As mentioned above, the component d‐Limonene, key in sweet orange, is
found to increase function of the liver, helping with detox. The liver constantly works to detox
the body and can become overworked. Diffuse when feeling the need, or blend it in your oil or
cream to massage on your mid‐section at a higher dilution that normal. It could also assist with
constipation.
8) Mild Aphrodisiac. Sweet Orange has aphrodisiac qualities, along with ylang ylang, rose and
lavender. Create an environment in your bedroom – or make your own perfume by blending
Sweet Orange into your favorite cream or oil!
9) Overall Tonic! Sweet Orange essential oil is one of a select few (such as frankincense) that can
be considered an overall tonic due to its wide range of actions to help strengthen body function,
the mind and restore vitality.
