Idea & BenefitsInternational Education Management (INEMA) is a joint venture of the Institute for Educational Leadership at Ludwigsburg University of Education, Germany, and Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt.
The program is aimed at developing and providing managerial and modern leadership skills as well as competencies for cross-cultural challenges in education management and for international reform processes. Graduates receive a joint degree.
Target GroupThe INEMA program is intended for persons aiming for or holding leading key positions in the education system. Target groups are current and prospective managers in the education system, who develop and implement ideas for future-oriented education reforms and effective administrative structures:
Prospective managers from educationalinstitutions and educational administration - managers establishing educational structures for refugees
Staff members of organizations of development and international cooperation
Prospective managers in the field of international education
Staff members of global players
Blended Learning The INEMA program is structured as a blendedlearning program and conceptualized as an extra-occupational course that allows participants to continue with their assigned jobs. Hence, the workexperience has direct impact on the study courseand vice versa, which keeps the program up-to-dateand practically relevant. Regular modules combinedwith cross-border modules ensure a holistic approach that ranges from personal coaching to cross-cultural encounters. An e-learning platform promotes the continuous exchange between students and lecturers from different cultures.
Phase of Attendance: Two attendance phases (10 days each) per semester, alternating at Ludwigsburg University of Education, Helwan University, Cairo and probably one more cooperating university.
Self-learning Phase: Autonomous studying,e.g. with module books, business simulation and case studies.
Coaching: Coaching by experts for professional and personal development, project management and career guidance.
Transfer: Strong focus on transfer of experience,procured by student exchange, best practice studies, internships and project work.
General InformationStudy Time: 4 (up to 6) semesters
Tuition Fees: 2.200,- Euro/semester plus enrollment and administrative fees of approx. 280,- Euro/semester. Scholarships can be awarded by DAAD (EPOS).
Degree: M. A. Masters of Arts, joint degree accredited by AQAS until 2020
Teaching Language: English
