Mr. Cramer, born in Amherst, Massachusetts, attended Amherst public schools and was graduated from Deerfield Academy. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Willia ms College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, and did his graduate work at John Carroll University, Case-Western Reserve University and Springfield College.

He has taught at Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts, The University School in Cleveland, Ohio and, prior to coming to Steward, was the Associate Headmaster a t Wilbraham Academy in Massachusetts.
