School Examinations

Year 10 examinations will take place in all GCSE subjects during the week commencing 18th April 2016.

Year 11 mock examinations will take place during December 2016.

What does an “A” on a Progress Card or Report mean?

Targets & Assessment Students will have a challenge target grade for each of their GCSE subjects except in English &

Mathematics where they will have 9-1.

During the year students will be graded 9-1 in English & Maths and A*-G in all other subjects.

There will be no study leave for either set of examinations.

The bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition weekend takes place after the Year 10 examinations have been completed.

All students will receive a progress card in October 2015 & January 2016 with a written report in June 2016.

The importance of leadership experience.

Getting into the habit of reading.

The temptations of a more complex social life.

The increasing demands of extra-curricular commitments.
