GrapeCity is extending its cross-plat-form mobile controls in its latest releaseof Xuni. Xuni is the company’s collec-tion of cross-platform UI controls forAndroid, iOS and Xamarin Platform.The latest features are designed to pro-vide new functionality in order toimprove a user’s mobile experience. The release includes a new Calendar

control, enhancements to the FlexGridcontrol, and a new data binding compo-nent. The Calendar control features data

range selection and navigation with ani-mation and built-in globalization.According to the company, developerscan use the Calendar control to matchany popular calendar UI with horizon-tal or vertical scrolling. Developers canalso customize the appearance, controlend-user selection, and provide visuali-zation to data-related information.

FlexGrid improvements include cellmerging, the ability to expand and col-lapse row details, unbound support,enhanced touch feedback, improvedreadability, improved interactive experi-ence, FlexChart, FlexPie, and Radial,Linear and BulletGraph gauge controls. For developers who are looking for

data binding, Xuni provides a new databinding component that provides cur-rency, filtering, grouping and sortingservices for data collection. “As always, everything new in this

release is supported in all the Xuni plat-forms: iOS, Android, Xamarin.Forms,Xamarin.Android, and Xamarin.iOS,”said Greg Lutz, product manager atGrapeCity.In addition, the company recently

announced Ultimate 2016 version 1, itsbundle of the data and UI controls from

ComponentOne Studio, Wijmo andXuni. The release features full Angular2 support in Wijmo, the RTW release ofStudio UWP edition, new controls forWijmo, FlexSheet for MVC, and Flex-Pivot for Windows. According to the company, Wijmo’s

Angular 2 components all offer fullydeclarative markup. “We have followedthe same pattern that the Angular 2team has set, so that when you use Wij-mo components, it will feel very famil-iar in Angular 2,” said Chris Bannon,product manager at GrapeCity.Wijmo also provides OLAP for

developers working inHTML5/JavaScript. The new OLAPmodule includes Excel-like pivot tablesand charts in order to give users theability to create analytical views of theirdata. z
