PHYSICAL EXAMSWorkWellconductsanykindofphysicalexamination,includingpre-employment,periodic,returntowork,DepartmentofTransportation,insurance,andphysicalson-site.IncollaborationwithHealthTrax,weofferbackevaluationsbothwithandwithoutradiologyevaluationsandfitnessfordutyexams.Specialevaluationsandphysicalexamsareavailableforfirefighters,lawenforcementofficers,healthcareworkers,andinternationaltravelers.

OSHA/DOT COMPLIANCEWorkWellcanassistyouwithunderstandingandcomplianceissuesthatcomefromtheOccupationalSafetyandHealthAdministration,andtheOhioandU.S.DepartmentsofTransportation.Specifically,WorkWellcanhelpyoucomplywithregulationsregardingrespiratorprotection,bloodheavymetalsmonitoring,drugandalcoholtesting,andotherpre-employmentscreeningsuchashearingtests.

HEALTH TRAX THERAPY AND REHABILITATIONThefollowingdefinitionswillhelpyouinyourdecisiontochooseHealthTrax:

FCEs:FunctionalCapacityEvaluationsareperformedatHealthTraxandareutilizedtoevaluatethephysicalabilitiesofworkersastheypertaintothespecificdemandsofajob.FCEshaveobjectivity,reliability,andvaliditybuiltintotheprocedures.AkeyelementofanFCEismeasuringthelevelofeffortgivenbyanindividualbeingevaluated.

JOB ANALYSIS:Theprocessforexaminingajobandcollectingmeasurementswhilethejobisbeingperformed.Ajobanalysisexplainswhattheworkerdoes,howtheworkerperformstheworkandwhattheoutcomesoftheworkare.Itidentifiestheessentialfunctionsofthejobanddescribesthephysicaldemandsoftherequiredtasks,workingconditions,knowledge,skill,andexperiencerequiredtosafelyperformthejob.Ajobanalysisincludesinformationaboutthetoolsandequipmentusedinperformingthejob.

TRANSITIONAL WORK:Servicesprovidedattheworksitebyanoccupationalorphysicaltherapist.Theservicesprimarilyfocusonusingtheinjuredworker’sfunctionalworktaskstoprogresstheworkertoatargetgoal.Progressiveconditioning,therapeuticexercise,traininginsafeworkpracticessuchaproperbodymechanicsandotherwork-siteservicesmayalsobeusedaspartofthetherapeuticprogramdevelopedforaninjuredworker.

WORK CONDITIONING: Thisprogramconsistsofaprogressionoftreatmentsusingphysicalconditioningandjobsimulation/realworktaskstohelptheinjuredworkerregainoptimalfunctionandreturntowork.Theprogramgoalsshouldaddressimprovementsincardiopulmonary,neuromuscular,musculoskeletalfunctions,education,andsymptomrelief.Whenappropriate,theprogramaddressesreasonableaccommodationsfortheworkerandadaptationstotheworkenvironment.
