Work with Him• Work hard.–Prov 6:6-11–Laziness: 10:26; 18:9; 21:25; 26:16–How to work: 20:23; 16:11; 15:27;

22:29; 16:8; 11:4, 28–Work as if you were working for God.

Work with HimSuccess and Security

Lazy people are soon poor; hard workers get rich. Prov 10:4Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave. Prov 12:24Do you see any truly competent workers? They will serve kings rather than working for ordinary people. Prov 22:29A hard worker has plenty of food, but a person who chases fantasies ends up in poverty. Prov 28:19

Wealth with Him• Security

The wealth of the rich is their fortress; the poverty of the poor is their destruction. 10:15(also 18:11; 13:8; 14:20; 22:7; 18:23)

Prov 11:4 – ultimate security is from God.

Wealth with Him• Budget and Plan with God.– Prov 27:23-27– Be cautious about debt (22:7)–Will you invite God into your finances?

Wealth with Him• Help Others with God.– Fight injustice.

A poor person’s farm may produce much food, but injustice sweeps it all away. Prov 13:23 (also 31:8-9)

work.

It’s poor judgment to guarantee another person’s debt or put up security for a friend. Prov 17:18An inheritance gained hurriedly at the beginning will not be blessed in the end. Prov 20:21 NASBThe stingy are eager to get rich and are unaware that poverty awaits them. 28:22 NIV
