The actual Internet connection speeds may vary due to a number of factors including customer hardware, equipment and software, server limitations, type of content being accessed and the number of users online.
This handy tool will help you measure the current download and upload speeds of your internet connection.

Go to speedtest.maxis.com.my and click on Begin Test button to perform speed test.

Close all browser windows you may have opened.
Close any applications that may be connected to the internet.
Perform the speed test by using your modem connected to your PC or your SIM placed in your tablets/other devices and get connected to Maxis Wireless Broadband.
Clear your browser cache.To clear you cache:1. On the Internet Explorer 6 Tools menu, click Internet
Options. The Internet Options box should open to the General tab.
How to get an accurate result using speedtest?Your internet connection speed can be affected by many factors. To help achieve the most accurate test results, please follow these simple steps:

MyAccount PortalYou may access MyAccount Portal anytime, anywhere through any available internet access. You will need to register and login to manage your Wireless Broadband at this portal.
It is now easier for you to manage your Account, track your quota usage, purchase quota top up and pay your bills. You can do it either via myAccount Portal or Wireless Internet Online Account Portal.
Wireless Internet Online AccountWireless Internet Online Account portal allows you to manage your Wireless Broadband when you are connected directly with your Wireless Broadband SIM. You do not need to provide any login credentials to check your quota balance and usage patterns.

How to create your personal MyAccount ID and password

• YoucanobtainyourSIMnumber on your SIM card. The SIM number is located at two positions. The first is printed on the actual SIM card itself and the other is at the bottom below the barcode.

ID type: Select New IC/Old IC (as per registered with Maxis when you filled up the Registration Form) for verification purposes.

Scenario 1: Unable to detect the modem
Check if your Maxis Wireless Broadband SIM card is inserted correctly into your modem and if the modem is inserted properly into the USB slot.
Plug the modem into a different USB slot.
Check if the computer has installed the modem driver. (Note: the following steps are for Windows XP. For other Operating Systems, please refer to the respective Operating Systems User Guide)

ii. Click on the Hardware tab. Click on the Device Manager button.
iv. If the 2 drivers are missing, proceed to step v. If the 2 drivers are available, please proceed to step 5.
v. Go to My Computer. Double click on Maxis Broadband drive.
vi. The drive will disappear. The drive and modem driver will be reinstalled.
(Note: If your Windows blocks Autorun function, double click Maxis Broadband folder, and double click the Setup icon)
vii. If driver cannot be installed, please proceed to Step 5.
iii. Expand Modem and Ports (COM & LPT). Check if the drivers are installed.
To uninstall modem driver, follow the following steps:
i. Go to Control Panel and double click on System.

ii. Click on the Hardware tab. Click on the Device Manager button.
iii. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.iv. Right click on USB Mass Storage Device, and click Uninstall
USB Mass Storage Device.
v. Unplug and slot in the USB modem again. Wait for the drivers to be installed.
vi. Open the Maxis Connection Manager and check whether the modem can be detected and are able to connect.
vii. If problem still persist, slot the modem to a different PC/laptop and go to Step 6.
Try to connect to your modem using a different device(PC/laptop):i. Repeat Step 4 and 5.ii. If problem is resolved with the other device, please check
with your PC/laptop manufacturer for further assistance.iii. If problem persists even with the other device, please walk
into any nearest Maxis Centre for further troubleshooting.

Scenario 2: No network or Unable to connect to Network
Check if your Maxis Wireless Broadband SIM card is inserted correctly into your modem and if the modem is inserted properly into the USB slot.

iii. Check your quota balance. If your quota balance has reached 0GB and you do not have additional quota top up, your internet speed has been managed to a lower speed until your next billing date.
iv. Purchase additional quota top up to continue enjoying normal speed. To purchase additional quota:• Gotowireless.maxis.net.my.• ClickonQuota Purchase button > Purchase Quota.• EnteryourIC number/Passport and click Verify.• ClickonProceed button for confirmation.• ClickonView Transaction History to check on status of
