• We will continue to provide good services and see where we can improve

• All 5 hospitals will still provide maternity and urgent care services

• No changes without listening to patients and the public

Our promise

Why we need to change• Our population will grow

from 1.6 million people to 2.2 million by 2031

• People are living longer

• New treatments, drugs and technology are expensive

• More will be carried out locally e.g. in GP surgeries

• Some specialist centres • We will share our skills and what

we know• We will work together to improve

services for the older people and those with long term conditions such as diabetes, heart disease or breathing difficulties

• Our priority is to change services for the better
