COTAs work in these Occupational Areas:

• Activities of Daily Living-ADLs (eating, hygiene, dressing, bathroom)

• Instrumental ADLs(cooking, finances, child care)

• Education• Social Participation• Leisure• Play• Work

Who do COTAs work with?• A COTA works closely with an

Occupational Therapist (OT) who is their supervisor

• OTs will set the goals for the patient collaborating with the COTA then the COTA will design the treatments to meet those goals
