What is Rotaract?

Rotaract is an international organization for the youth in the age category of 18 through 30 years, who believe they can make a difference.

The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance knowledge and skills that will assist them in : -

• Professional Development

• To Address the physical and social needs of their communities

• Promote better relations amongst all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service. 

We are two of the most active Rotaract Clubs present in Rotaract District 3140.

We have an amazing mix of members with• Students doing BMM, BMS, BCOM, MBA, Medical Science etc.• to students engaged in Professional Courses like CA, CS, Law• MBA’s working with corporates.• Self Employed Entreprenuers. etc.

We have had an amazing history with a huge and ever helpful alumni base settled all over the world.

PresentsA Project which is the First of its kind

Burn it up is a group event where two teams of equal participants compete with each other in reducing their team weight by motivating their team members to push that extra mile while jogging or cycling, by making sure that they don’t have unhealthy food which is fattening, resisting the temptation of that piece of chocolate or ice cream that you really look forward to munch on so that you remain healthy and lose that extra weight along with your team mates to stay fit and healthy.

We wish to include a series of workshops and events, nutrition consultancy,performance reviews, etc. in order to make the project more interesting and professional.

Burn it up 2010 and its Publicity Gimmicks on Facebook and at all Rotaract Events and Forums, organised by Rotaract Clubs of Andheri and Bombay Filmcity will go on for more than 3 months starting from 10th March onwards to 20th June.

Monday, 10th March 2010 to 20th June 2010

Teams will be selected by captains who can choose participants from both the clubs.

Outside club participants will be invited after the first 15 days of the launch of the project and 6 participants will be shortlisted after their biodata analysis and interviews. They will join in after the first month review.

Age group : 15 to 30 years old. Must be above 70 kgs (Male) & 60 kgs

(Female) RC BF and RC Andheri club members only Outside Club Rotaractors can apply but

selected few will be shortlisted for participation

Anyone who wishes to attend one day free workshops can attend. Subject to availability.
