Fourth annual Andrew Kittel Memorial Ride to benefit Rotary Sunshine Campus
Due to donor generosity, Rochester Rotary’s Sunshine Camp, a program for young people with disabilities, has been spreading sunshine to thousands of campers in the Rochester community for 90 years, free of charge. Andrew Kit-tel experienced this joyful camp prior to his passing on August 17, 2011, and this benefit is held in his honor. The ride starts at J&D Biker Leather, 788 How-ard Road, Rochester and ends at the Ro-tary Sunshine Campus, 809 Five Points Road, Rush, on Saturday, August 8 at 10
a.m. Event begins at 12:30 p.m. at the ride’s finish. The event includes a buf-fet lunch, raffles, miniature golf, wagon rides and music by Light Blue Gospel Blues Band. Admission is $15 per per-son; children under 12 are free.
To purchase tickets in advance, donate to the camp, or find out how to partici-pate in the memorial ride, contact Paul Kittel at 585-474-7920 or kittsp30@roch-ester.rr.com for details.

Summer Programs at Letchworth State ParkCome journey into the summertime lives
of plants and animals under the guidance of park interpretive staff. Explore the histori-cal roots of Letchworth State Park and the Genesee Valley with historians, crafters, and other speakers.
A weekly schedule of family programs offers short morning and afternoon walks seven days a week. The twenty-five pro-grams, repeated each week in July and August, serve as a basic introduction to the storybook of what is Letchworth State Park today. The weekly schedule of family programs is included with the summer cal-endar of other non-repeating events.
Nearly 70 miles of hiking trails and three
separate canyons, can be enjoyed through interpretive programs offered throughout the year. Field trips, lectures for schools and organizations, and a step-on-guide service for buses planning to tour the park are also offered.
Program schedules with times and meeting places of all park programs may be obtained at the Visitor Center, which is located at the south end of Letchworth State Park.
For additional information contact: Park Interpretive Program, Genesee State Park Region, 1 Letchworth State Park, Castile, NY 14427, 585-493-3637.
Fair accepting talent show applicationsThe Monroe County Fair is accepting

The preliminary round will be on Thurs-day, August 6 at noon; the Talent Show Fi-nals will be on Saturday, August 8 at noon. Each day all performers should arrive by 11:30 a.m. Preliminary and final perfor-mances will take place on the stage.
The entry fee is $5 per act in the Mini category and $7 per act in the Maxi cat-egory. All entrants will receive free admis-
sion to the Fair. For rules and entry forms call the fair office at 585-334-4000 or go to our website for an entry form at www.mc-fair.com.
