Family Journal• Sent home Friday• Students write a minimum of five sentences

about the week • Written in letter format- can be to anyone! • Person must write back• Anything can be added! This is a personal

collection of 3rd grade memories and a great way to communicate with others about what is happening in school!

Grading• Homework Assignments:

✓+Submitted on time, well done, neat, complete, 90% correct

✓Handed in on time, complete, 80% correct ✓- Late, incomplete, or mostly incorrect

• Tests & Quizzes:– Traditional grading scale, point value will vary

• Projects & Activities:– Assessed with rubrics that are specific to the particular task

• Please refer to the SCASD grade profile for details about how letter grades are assigned
