WHAT’S A PIN?

• www.pin.ed.gov

• Personal Identification Number

• Student and parent need PIN’s

• Electronic signature for filing your FAFSA on the Web

• Receive PIN by e-mail in 3 days

• Keep PIN for future use

THEN WHAT HAPPENS?

• Output documents – Student Aid Report (SAR) and Student Eligibility Notice (SEN)

• Financial Aid Award Letter from college

• Student Loan applications

• Verification

• Remember – read everything, save a copy, sign and return what’s required
